Experiments with full-spectrum and white balance, 15 August 2022

It has been fun trying out full-spectrum photography instead of relying on the IR filter all of the time, though the colours have still been a little ... lacking.

I read somewhere (can't remember where) that changing the white balance might give pleasing results, so as I haven't figured out manual white balance on the Lumix I thought I would set it to 'incandescent', which is the white balance for indoor photography with the camera. 

The following photos show a 'typical' infrared image with the Urth 720nm filter, a colour full-spectrum image with no filter, and a full-spectrum image with the cameras white balance set to 'incandescent'. The RGB channels have been set to the top and bottom levels of the histogram in all cases using SnapSeed.
