A lovely glow in the pre-dawn sky, 08 January 2024

I woke up this morning to see through the curtains the most incredible orange glow in the pre-dawn sky. By the time I had grabbed the nearest camera to hand (the Canon Powershot A720) the best of the morning glow had gone, but it still made a lovely panorama.

The featured image was with the camera set on auto, which wasn't too bad, but I knew that I could get more from the camera so I set the Powershot to manual, reset the colour profile to 'normal' and adjusted the aperture and shutter speed to something more favourable to the light. The four frame panorama was stitched together with the phone app Bimostitch.
