Ferias 2023: The Journey, 26 July 2023

We're off on our annual pilgrimage to the lovely seaside town of Meco. This year I've been limited to one camera, so I picked the glitchy Vivitar 'Vivacam', a 2MP digicam from 2003. Not only does this device have a delay between pressing the shutter button and the photo being taken, but Ihave since discovered that the on/off slider is getting decidedly dodgy. The camera might not survive the holiday. 

On the train on the way down I took a few nicely glitchy images, using the speed of the train to blur the Portuguese countryside, and at the wonderful Oriente station in Lisbon couldn't resist the wonderful architecture. 

On the drive to Meco we crossed the Ponte Vasco da Gama, the longest bridge in western Europe. Although I took a couple of non-glitchy photos, I thought that the bridge was worthy of glitching so I used the GlitchLab app for a little pixel sorting.
